25 Songs for 25 Years - 25th Chernobyl Anniversary Paul Noonan (Bell X 1), Liam Ó Maonlaí (Hothouse Flowers), Jamie Lawson, Clive Barnes & Ian Doyle (The Man Whom) will sing '25 Songs for 25 Years' at Set Theatre in Kilkenny on April 25. The night has been organised to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Chernobyl and funds raised will go to Chernobyl Children International. A selection of songs will be performed, some original, some borrowed and some new. To mark the 25th anniversary of Chernobyl, a collection of songs from the set list will date back to 1986 which is the year when the Chernobyl disaster happened. The funds raised will go towards the running of a summer camp in Belarus in August. The camp takes children out of an orphanage for 3 weeks on rest and recuperation. These children are either too ill or too institutionalised to travel abroad for Rest & Recuperation so this in-country programme is an alternative route the project takes to help the lives of these children. Tickets are priced at €25 and are available from Rollercoaster Records in Kilkenny (056) 77 63669 or you can log onto www.set.ie for online bookings. Chernobyl Children International is a registered charity. You can log onto the official website at http://www.chernobyl-international.com/ If you have any event enquiries / interviews requests or other please contact Andrea at info@keoghpublicity.com
