New Drogheda Venue Opens

There's great news for music fans in Drogheda with last nights launch of the TLT Theatre.

Presided over by comdeian Deirdre O'Kane, the first three nights will feature the myriad talents of the Honey Bees Swing & Jazz Band, St. Peter's Male Voice Choir, The Murphy Family, and the Drogheda and Lourdes brass bands who are performing on behalf of the Alzheimers Society.

Located in East Coast Business Park in Matthews Lane, the theatre is the brainchild of local sound shop owner Tommy Leddy and can cater for up to 1,200 peopel, 900 of them seated.  The custom build theatre is also equipped with underground dressing rooms, a baby grand piano and one of the largest stages in Ireland.

It will also house a school of music, rehearsal rooms, a coffee shop and full bar facilities.

The TLT Theatre is sure to put Drogheda firmly back on the gigging map of Ireland.
